Here is the issue
After enabling CASS (Comprehensive Anti-Spam Service) on a Sonicwall it causes Exchange to be an open relay and thus become a spam server causing black lists and headaches and angry users.
Here is the Fix
In the Exchange System Manager go to Servers and expand the server name
Under the server name expand “Protocols” then expand SMTP
Right click on the Default SMTP Virtual Server and choose properties.
Then select the “Access” tab and click on the “Relay” button in the “Relay Restrictions” section.
Remove the IP address of the server leaving only 127.0.0.1
