Employee Spotlight: Jeremy

Meet Jeremy, The Owner of AngelCom

POSITION: PRESIDENT

How long have you been with AngelCom?

In a sense I’ve been with Angel since the beginning. I remember helping my grandfather build PCs in his Garage in the 80s. I was just 11 years old when AngelCom got its start. Learning from him, not really working there (of course) just learning. While in high school, I would run to Kent and fill my father’s van with as much as I could, often filling it up with Monitors, the old CRT style so not nearly as many monitors as you would think.

What is your favorite thing about working at AngelCom?

I like working with the clients; knowing that we have their IT needs handled. I love seeing them succeed and knowing that we played a role, small, but a role none-the-less in their success.

What does a typical day at AngelCom look like in your role?

I am usually in the office by 7:30, looking over email and getting in a cup of coffee or two before the day begins and the phones, emails, and tickets start. My days are spent working with the team if they need help, working with clients, vendors, and more and more in meetings. Leave around 5:30, hopefully. Go home and try not to do more work.

I’m a bit of a National Park nerd.

Jeremy,
AngelCom President

A self-proclaimed National Park nerd.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I am a bit of a National Park Nerd, love visiting them, getting my stamps, watching documentaries about them on Disney. (Oh – by the way – I love Disneyland too. It’s a good thing I don’t live in L.A.)

What is one thing you cannot resist?

Bacon.

What’s your favorite thing about where you live?

Summer, looking at the Water, the Green Trees, Blue Skies and the mountains in the background.

What was the last concert you went to?

Petty Theft and Geryl Haggard, both cover bands. The last original Artist I saw was Motley Crew, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett.

What was the best vacation you ever went on?

Southern California, kids were little, we hit Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farms, Lego Land, and SeaWorld.  We tricked the kids and left Northern California telling them we were headed home. But we headed South instead, and made it all the way to the Disneyland sign before they knew what was going on.

Would you rather go snorkeling or skydiving, and why?

Skydiving, I’ve been snorkeling many times and Skydiving is on my to-do list.

If you were an animal, what would you be?

The family dog, Samoa.

Samoa in an office meeting at AngelCom.

What do you do in your free time?

Recently it’s been cleaning up after a 100+ foot cedar tree fell in my backyard.  I got an Alaska mill and borrowed a huge chainsaw. Now I have several slabs of cedar that I have many plans I know of (and hopefully as many I don’t know about yet).

What are you currently watching on Netflix?

Nothing at the moment, I finished off Cobra Kai a while ago. I recently watched both Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis (but that’s Hulu).

What are your indoor and outdoor hobbies?

In the summer, I’m on the water: boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, or camping. My indoor hobbies would be games with friends and family, and tasting Whiskey.
